IOAA is a 501(c)(3) cooperative art gallery run by volunteers. There are no paid staff. IOAA has a physical art gallery and artist studios where art is displayed and sold. Artist receive 100% of their sales, there are no commissions taken. IOAA also offers scheduled art classes to the public for a small fee (cost covers equipment and supplies). Private classes are also available for scheduling at the gallery and at businesses. A small fee is charged to cover costs. Throughout the year, free events are held. In the summer on Saturdays, June - August, Art @ the Market is offered from 7:30 am - noon. Each Saturday, a make-it, take-it craft/art activity is offered to the public for free. Our booth is at the Bloomington Farmers’ Market. On the First Fridays of each month, a free make-it, take-it craft/art activity is offered at our gallery from 5 - 8 pm. The IOAA Activity Fair is offered from noon - 3 pm on a Sunday in August at the Miller Park Pavilion. Free activities are offered by IOAA and other community organizations.
